Expectations Of Parents
- You are an instrumental contributor to her success and happiness. Tuition must be paid on time and a commitment to transport your gymnast to and from workouts must be made. In addition and equally important, parents must help instill work ethic, values and provide support for yourchild to be successful.
- Please do not talk to your child during practice, including if they are is getting a drink. It is important for the gymnasts to stay focused and with their group.
- If you need to get a message to your child during practice, please respect our mobile device policy. We ask that you not only encourage, but hold them accountable to it. If a message must be relayed to them during practice please talk to the office staff and they will relay the message.
- Parents are not permitted on the gym floor and must refrain from coaching or commenting during any training session. If your child is not paying attention or messing around, we realize it is tempting. This is the job of the coaches.
- We strongly encourage our parents not to stay for practice. We will allow parents in the last 15 minutes of practice. We have had very positive results with closed practices. Just like it is difficult to see if your child has gotten taller because you are with them every day, it will be hard to see the progress they are making if you watch every practice. We do encourage you to watch your child practice a few times a month the last 15 minutes of class to see their progress and work ethic. It is also important to let your child practice without you present to allow them to completely focus on the instruction from their coach.
- We feel that communication with the parents of our members should be open and flowing. We email all important information as well as post it on Instagram and Facebook.
- Parents are expected and encouraged to show proper respect for our sport at all times. Rude, belittling, or negative comments about coaches, parents, and other gymnasts are always inappropriate and have no place in our program.
- If you have an issue or concern, please speak to the coach. To complain or gossip to other parents cannot solve your problem, nor can we solve them if we do not know about them. We ask that you please trust and have enough faith in us to come to us and allow us to handle the situation.
- Be encouraging and positive to your child. Be careful of comparisons, because each child is an individual with different talents and capabilities.
- Please be on time to pick your gymnast up after practice.
- We have an open door policy. If you or your child have an issue or concern, we ask you to PLEASE communicate it with us. Please give us the chance to address and handle the situation. No concern is too small. We want your feedback.
